About Anthias

Anthias (formerly Screenly OSE) is a free, open-source digital signage platform designed for Raspberry Pi devices and PCs. It provides a web-based dashboard for managing, scheduling, and displaying images, videos, and web pages on screens. Anthias supports Raspberry Pi OS, balenaOS via balenaHub, and generic 64-bit ARM single-board computers running Debian-based Armbian, including Rock Pi, Orange Pi, and Banana Pi boards. It is deployed via Docker and includes a scheduler, asset library, and viewer component. For ARM SBCs, images and web pages run smoothly across supported boards, while video playback depends on SoC capability. Anthias is the community-maintained open-source counterpart to the paid Screenly platform, with an active forum and GitHub Sponsors support.
