About Bar Assistant

Bar Assistant is a self-hosted recipe manager built specifically for cocktails rather than general recipes, adding first-class support for ingredients, ABV math, and unit switching. It ships with a dataset of over 500 cocktail recipes and 250+ base ingredients, and supports multiple bars, bar members with role-based access, custom ingredient substitutes, cocktail ratings and variations, public bar menus, and shareable recipe links. This repository is the API server only; a companion web client, Salt Rim, provides the interface. The project is fully open-source under the MIT license, distributed as a Docker image, and also offered as a paid managed cloud instance for people who don't want to self-host.
