About HomeHub

HomeHub is a lightweight, self-hosted web app that turns any computer or Raspberry Pi into a central hub for your household. It brings together shared notes, a collaborative shopping list with history-based suggestions, a chore tracker, shared cloud file storage, a calendar with reminders, a family expense tracker with recurring bill support, and a media downloader for saving videos and audio locally. Additional tools include a recipe book, expiry tracker, URL shortener, PDF compressor, weather widget, and QR code generator. Everything runs on your local network — no cloud, no tracking, no accounts. Features can be toggled on or off via a simple config.yml file, and the interface supports full color theming and both light and dark mode. HomeHub is deployed via Docker and is designed to be approachable for all skill levels, including non-technical family members.
