About KISS Translator

KISS Translator is a lightweight bilingual translation tool available as a browser extension (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, Thunderbird, and mobile browsers like Kiwi and Orion) and as a Greasemonkey/Tampermonkey userscript. It supports a wide range of translation backends, including Google, Microsoft, Tencent, Volcengine, DeepL/DeepLX, Azure AI, Cloudflare AI, Chrome's built-in AI translation, and LLM providers such as OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, Ollama, DeepSeek, and OpenRouter. Beyond full-page bilingual translation, it covers input-box translation, text-selection popups with dictionary lookup and vocabulary saving, hover translation, and bilingual YouTube subtitle translation with AI-assisted sentence segmentation. Advanced features include custom API hooks, streaming responses, AI conversation-context memory for better translation quality, custom terminology dictionaries, and cross-device settings sync via a self-hostable KISS-Worker service or WebDAV. Translation rules can be shared and subscribed to through a community rules repository.
