About Plug-N-Meet

Plug-N-Meet is an open-source scalable web conferencing and online meeting platform designed for organizations, educators, developers, and privacy-focused teams that need a self-hosted alternative to proprietary video conferencing services. Built with Go and powered by the high-performance WebRTC infrastructure of LiveKit, Plug-N-Meet delivers reliable low-latency communication with support for HD video conferencing, adaptive streaming, simulcast, dynacast, screen sharing, breakout rooms, collaborative whiteboards, shared notes, polls, and virtual backgrounds. The platform includes advanced meeting features such as MP4 recording, RTMP and RTMPS broadcasting, WHIP and RTMP ingress support for OBS Studio workflows, SIP telephone dial-in gateways, and end-to-end encrypted communication for secure conferencing environments. Plug-N-Meet also integrates AI-powered meeting intelligence tools including real-time transcription, spoken language translation, automated summaries, action item generation, and artifact APIs for post-meeting analysis. Designed for flexible deployment and customization, the platform supports branding customization, API integrations, SDKs for PHP and JavaScript, and ready-to-use integrations for WordPress, Moodle, Joomla, and LTI-compatible learning management systems. Plug-N-Meet supports all modern browsers without requiring downloads and can be deployed using Docker with infrastructure support for Redis, MariaDB or MySQL, and LiveKit. The project consists of modular backend, frontend, and recording services maintained through an active open-source ecosystem with extensive documentation, APIs, and community collaboration.
