Self-hosted, low-latency screen sharing for developers, built on WebRTC with an integrated TURN server.
Screego is a self-hosted screen-sharing tool built specifically to fix the lag and poor quality developers hit when sharing code over corporate chat apps like Microsoft Teams. It transfers screens directly via WebRTC for low latency and high resolution, supports multi-user screen sharing sessions, and ships with an integrated TURN server for NAT traversal so it works reliably behind restrictive firewalls and routers. Deployment is intentionally minimal: a single Go binary or an official Docker/ghcr.io image, configured through environment variables (external IP, TLS certs, listen address, TURN port range). TLS is required for Screego to function, either enabled directly in the app or terminated by a reverse proxy in front of it. A free public instance is available for trying it without self-hosting, though the project is designed to be self-hosted by default. Screego intentionally does only one thing — screen sharing — rather than expanding into a broader chat or collaboration platform.
