About Stump

Stump is a modern open-source digital book server built for managing and reading comics, manga, ebooks, and other digital publications through a self-hosted platform. Designed with Rust, Axum, SeaORM, and React, Stump focuses on performance, low resource usage, responsive design, and privacy-friendly media management. The project supports OPDS integration, EPUB, PDF, CBZ, and CBR formats while offering a responsive web interface with dark mode support. Stump includes REST API support, Docker deployment options, collection and reading list organization, multilingual translation support, and planned desktop and mobile applications. The project uses a monorepo architecture with React web and desktop apps, Rust-powered backend services, TypeScript SDK packages, and self-hosting capabilities for users who want full control over their digital library ecosystem.
