Brings the SteamOS experience to Android: Valve's Steam client in Big Picture mode on Adreno handhelds, with Windows games via ARM64 Proton. No root required.
DroidDeck runs Valve's official Linux ARM64 Steam client in Big Picture mode on supported Android devices (primarily Adreno 730+ or 8xx handhelds), using an in-app gamescope compositor inside a proot Linux environment. Windows games launch through Valve's ARM64 Proton (with FEX for instruction translation). It requires Android 9 or newer, no root, and roughly 3 GB for the runtime plus 1.1 GB more for the optional desktop and emulators. After installing the APK from GitHub Releases, you install the Linux runtime, then press Play to download and sign into Steam. It supports a full Linux desktop mode, Flatpak apps from Flathub (ARM64), AppImages, scripts, and integration with GOG, Epic, and Amazon Games stores (games are added as non-Steam titles so they run through Proton). Adreno 6xx is experimental; Mali, Xclipse, PowerVR, and Adreno 710 are unsupported. Before first Steam launch you must disable Restrict child processes in Developer options (with an automated fix for some Android 12/13 devices). The project is GPL-3.0, not affiliated with Valve, and has no official standalone website—only the GitHub repository and Discord. Builds on work from WinNative, Bannerlator, LSFG/Eden, and uruntime.
