macOS app for backing up Apple Photos to local folders or directly to a self-hosted Immich server, preserving originals, Live Photo videos, and edits.
ImmiBridge is a macOS desktop app for backing up an Apple Photos library either to a local folder organized by capture date or directly to a self-hosted Immich photo server. It exports original files, including Live Photo paired videos, with the option to also export rendered edits. Backup runs in three modes: Smart Incremental (only new or changed files, using a manifest), Full (everything, every time), or Mirror (syncs new/changed files and deletes orphaned files from the destination to match the source). Photos can be filtered by album, media type, or date, and backups can be paused, resumed, or scheduled to run automatically, with menu bar integration for quick access and iCloud photo download progress tracking. When connecting to Immich, ImmiBridge uses SHA1 checksums to avoid duplicate uploads, uploads Live Photos as a paired video and still image, and supports syncing albums to the Immich server. The app also supports metadata-only sync to update file metadata without re-uploading, and ships with automatic updates via Sparkle. ImmiBridge requires macOS 12.0 or later and is released under the MIT License.
