Self-hosted gym and body-weight tracker you actually own. Plan workouts, log sets, sync across devices with passkey login. No account, no subscription, no telemetry.
openGym is a self-hosted gym and body-weight tracker that keeps your training data in a folder you control, syncing across your phone and laptop with passkey sign-in. It covers planning (a routine per weekday from a library of over 1,300 exercises with animated demos, four starter plans, supersets, drop sets, and timed or cardio exercises), training (guided sessions with pre-filled weights, rest timers, automatic PR detection, and plate math for barbells and machines), and progress tracking (progression rules like linear or Greyskull LP, estimated 1RM, structural balance ratios, and a year-long activity heatmap). Two devices editing at once merge instead of overwriting each other. You can import history from FitNotes, Strong, Hevy, or Apple Health, export everything as one JSON file, and the UI supports 17 languages. It installs with a single `docker compose up`, runs as a standalone phone app via Capacitor with no server required, and has optional, off-by-default extras: an AI coach that drafts and adjusts routines using your own provider key, and a read-only local MCP server for querying your training history from an assistant. openGym is free and open source under the GNU AGPL v3.0 License.
