ShareX is a free and open-source screen capture, screen recorder, file sharing, and productivity application for Windows. It supports fullscreen, window, region, and scrolling screenshot capture, plus video and GIF screen recording, with after-capture tasks like copying to clipboard, OCR, QR code scanning, or automatic upload. The built-in image editor lets you crop, annotate, blur, pixelate, and redact sensitive details before sharing. ShareX can upload images, files, folders, and text to a wide range of destinations, including custom uploaders for services like Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, and Cloudflare R2, giving you control over where your captures end up rather than relying on a single built-in host. It also bundles dozens of smaller utilities for color picking, image/video conversion, hash checking, metadata inspection, and more. Workflows and after-capture or after-upload actions are fully configurable and hotkey-driven. ShareX is completely free, has no ads, and requires no account to use. It's free and open source under the GNU GPL v3.0 License, available via the official installer, a portable build, GitHub releases, the Microsoft Store, or Steam.
