Privacy-first, end-to-end encrypted clipboard sync across Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile — no cloud account, no central server, peer-to-peer with encrypted relay fallback.
UniClipboard is a privacy-first, cross-device clipboard synchronization tool that syncs text, images, and files across devices whether on the same Wi-Fi or across different networks. It uses direct peer-to-peer connections with automatic NAT traversal when possible, falling back to an encrypted relay that only ever sees ciphertext. Devices pair by joining a shared 'space' using a one-time invitation code and passphrase, with no cloud account or email required. All data is encrypted both in transit and at rest using XChaCha20-Poly1305 AEAD, with encryption keys derived from the user's passphrase via Argon2id and stored in the system keyring. The desktop app offers a searchable clipboard history with an encrypted full-text index, a Quick Panel keyboard-shortcut overlay for fast access, streaming transfer for large files, and a `uniclip` command-line tool that mirrors the GUI for headless use on servers or over SSH. Mobile devices join as HTTP companions via a separate UniClipboard mobile app (iOS in TestFlight beta, Android via APK), working on the LAN by default or across networks through a self-hosted server node or Tailscale. Built with Tauri, React, and Rust, UniClipboard is released under the AGPL-3.0 License.
